Oil prices gained on both sides of the Atlantic with Brent and WTI gaining by 0.5 percent and 1.3 percent respectively. Strong U.S. economic data bolstered crude markets but focus remained on whether OPEC will cut output to end a five-month long selloff when it meets next week.
