LME copper prices declined by 1 percent yesterday amid concern that the measures were unlikely to spur an immediate market recovery although China's central bank lowered the yield for a key short-term money rate for the fourth time this year. Moreover, U.S.consumer confidence fell in November to its lowest level since June, thereby exerting downside pressure on prices. Further, gain 0f 0.8 percent in LME stocks acted as a negative factor.
