U.S. natural gas futures ended down about 1 percent on Thursday on a bigger-than-expected storage build despite forecasts for continued above-normal temperatures over the next two weeks.
Utilities added 114 billion cubic feet of gas into storage last week, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said in a report. That is more than the Reuters poll of analysts for a build of 110 bcf, the year ago build of 88 bcf and the five-year average build of 93 bcf.
