LME Copper prices slid by 0.9 percent on Wednesday as Japanese copper production is expected to rise about 3 percent in the six months between October and March from a year earlier driven by solid demand at home and rising exports. Increased output from the world’s No.3 copper refiner fuelled worries over a global supply surplus, thereby exerting downside pressure on price.
