Spot silver prices gained on Thursday as investors flocked to safe-haven assets like gold which in turn lifted speculative interest in silver. Strength in the base metals complex also lifted silvers appeal acting as a positive factor.

Silver prices on the MCX gained by around 3.2 percent and closed at Rs.46242/kg.
