Spot silver prices rose by around 0.4 percent in yesterday’s trade diverging from the gains in gold prices. Also, gains in the base metals complex lifted silver prices. However, sharp upside was capped on account of strength in the DX.

On the MCX, silver prices gained marginally by around 0.2 percent and closed at Rs.40976/kg.
