A day after the Indian equity markets saw significant fall on profit booking, the Nifty is likely to open smartly in the green today. The SGX Nifty, an indicator of the market opening, was trading at 6778, up 13 points. Global markets, meanwhile, are mixed. The US markets ended higher with the Dow approaching a record high and European shares rallied supported by a surge in tech stocks. Asia, meanwhile, is cautious in trade ahead of the FOMC and Bank of Japan's monetary decision.
